School's out for the summer!

Well guess what??

It's OVER! School is out! I take my last final tomorrow morning and Adam takes his last two and then after we get done, we are done for the summer! It's so exciting... We both need a break.

Father's day is this sunday! And isn't that a wonderful day to celebrate?? I love my daddy, and adam's daddy is wonderful too. Take a moment to say hello to your dads on Sunday!

And other than finals, lots of studying, and lots of playing the addictive app for the ipod touch/iphone Angry Birds, this past week has been filled with lots of Lord of the Rings, massages, working out, and lots of love. I can't wait to talk about our adventures to be soon!

Birthdays and Holidays

Well this last weekend has been tons of fun! Jameson turned 23 on Saturday! We celebrated by going to Tucanos for lunch and eating our faces silly. I actually adventured out to the salad bar and spent a lot of time there getting lots of salad and fruit. Have you ever tried the fried bananas there? Little bit of heaven right in your mouth. Let me tell you.
Well afterwards, we went over to Jameson and Becky's house and played some scum, and then we cracked out the 64 and played battle tanks and golden eye. Mind you, I sucked hard core at golden eye--I think I was actually voted the most likely to die all the time award... ahem... moving on. And then Brenton, Adam and I surprised Jameson with our gift of Super Mario Galaxy 2! Apparently on some gaming website it got a perfect ten! Not many games get that, mind you, so its supposed to be awesome. Jameson likes it and thats all that really matters, right?

Sunday, Adam and I just chilled at home. Remind me never to stick around at church on the last day of the month. EVERYONE had to get last minute home teaching in. of course. So we spent most of right after church doing home teaching, visiting teaching or vice versa--having them come to us. And then, we just watched a lot of Planet Earth and enjoyed learning about this wonderful world God has given us. It truely is phenominal!

Monday was Memorial Day! and it was so fun! I got my hair cut! its really short now... like a bob cut. I'll have to post pictures next time. Adam and I went up to Bountiful to spend the day with his family. It was so much fun, All the nieces and nephews came over, and adam BBQ'd for everyone, and we spent lots of time playing with the hose, squishing gazillions of ants, coloring with sidewalk chalk, or just talking. I love spending time with family. I always get a kick out of the kids-they have the most creative minds and can tell the funniest stories!

So all in all, it was a great weekend. I was sad it had to end! But I guess, all good things have to end so some better things can come, right?

You've got mail...

Don't you just love classic movies like You've Got Mail?
It's a classic. You've gotta just love it! I love the part about how they meet but they don't and you can just see it before it comes. Sometimes predictability is so fun.

Last weekend was a lot of fun. Adam and I have the blessing of living so close to family and Saturday I spent the day with my sister-in-law. We got to workout and then we made muddy buddies and ate them while watching The Great Mouse Detective. I had such a good time that we invited the rest of the family over for a BBQ. Once again, Adam did an amazing job with the chicken. So good, that I decided to make kabobs for dinner tonight! Well, we watched a little bit of Brian Regan while dinner was being finished and then we watched the Princess and the Frog. I love Disney movies... Can I just say that? They are so cute. And I love the Princess and the Frog. The friend is so funny... "tell him big daddy! TELLL HIMMMMM!" It's so great.

Well Sunday was very relaxing. We recently acquired a gi-normous love sac from Adam's brother (we're holding onto it for him for a while) and I took a nap in it on sunday. It was so nice. Everyone should have love sacs so that they can take sunday afternoon naps in them.

Well it's monday again. Time for the week to start. Adam has two midterms, I have a midterm and a presentation... basically, its super busy for the two of us. Oh, and it snowed today. In the middle of May. But the sun came through in the end... just hope it stays. But we are excited for the Memorial Weekend! Whoo hoo! Here comes the sun (I hope).

When you fall in love, it's like falling in love, it's like barbecue!

So the past week was lots of fun. Still haven't heard from the internship... Guess he doesn't want me. But that sort of stuff happens all the time.. right? (I really wouldn't know, I've only applied to one!)
Last Saturday, we went up to Bountiful to spend the afternoon with Adam's family and his sister came along and brought her kids! I always love hanging out with my nieces and nephews. We watched movies, ate lots of mexican food, and had lots of fun playing like kids :) Some pictures from the event...

Little Brayden was so funny! He kept making up these jokes that made no sense, like how did the ball get to school? It went through the pipe! But then he said this one that made sense and we busted up laughing. He said...
"How did the toot get to school? The wind blew it there!"
little kids. So great.

We celebrated Cinco de Mayo this past week! To celebrate, we made fried ice cream, enchiladas, homemade guacamole... and ate lots of chips! It was lots of fun! We also watched Nacho Libre to get us in the Mexican mood. I love that movie. Nothing like Jack Black with a really bad spanish accent to get us in the mood for mexican food.
"Do you remember that one time, when everyone was cheering my name, and I used my strength to rip my blouse?"
"yeah and then I saw you get knocked out, alright?"
It was a great cinco de mayo.

Oh! and then for our date night, we used our money to go to target and we bought (dun dun da duh!) a charcoal grill! It's like Adam's new favorite toy. And we had the most delicious barbecue friday night (and today). Friday we had hamburgers and hot dogs, with barbecue chips, macaroni salad, and corn on the cob. It was delicious! Adam has been wanting a grill for forever; you should have seen him putting it together. He was so excited :) And then, to celebrate the occasion again, we barbecued chicken today! Man, if you want delicious chicken, marinade it in some Carribean Jerk marinade and then grill it. Mouthwatering. So good!

We have been loving it this last week. It has been filled with so much fun including...
Avatar
putting off doing homework
going on walks
watching a couple more movies
playing lots and lots of games

Having ourselves an oriental time!

Yesterday was date night and like I said earlier, Adam is one creative fellow :)

He decided to go all out and have an oriental themed date! He picked me up from work and I wasn't feeling to well so he brought me my favorite candy bar! Hershey's Cookies and Cream! Soooo good. love it!
Then we went shopping for ingredients for our Chinese dinner. I was so tired when we got home that Adam set up a little bed for me on the couch and we watched Spirited Away (but I really took a nap)
Then it was time for the fun to begin!
We got all dressed up like ninjas. Well kind of. And we did a Kenpo Karate workout! It was so fun! kicking and punching and pretending we were stealthy. We had tons of fun and burned lots of calories :) which is good because I don't think our dinner was super low in calories, even if it was a salad.

After our work out, we decided that we were pretty hungry. It was so fun watching Adam in the kitchen! He is quite the chef! And, he did an amazing job and organizing and cooking and having lots of fun creating a masterpiece! We made a Chinese Salad, which was SO GOOD. Chicken and fried noodles and almonds and sesame seeds, with lots of lettuce, green onions and a little cilantro. I loved helping him in the kitchen!

After our DELICIOUS dinner we played some oriental games (aka chinese checkers) and ate some Pocky (strawberry dipped of course) Yum! I had so much fun on our date! Adam is so wonderful :) he even surprised me with flowers the other day. They smell SO good!

On another completely random note, I applied for an internship yesterday! It was for a personal trainer at a gym called Anytime Fitness! I am so excited! I really really want to get the internship (its paid too which is nice). I emailed him yesterday and I have been checking my email like MAD. Its like waiting for Christmas morning to come when you're a kid and its only 9 pm at night on Christmas Eve... so painful almost. Hopefully he's emailed me now... I better go check.

Experiments and Exercises

Today we were both feeling kind of crummy. So we went on a run. Bad idea. It didn't help.
I'll tell you what did help. Putting Julie and Julia on and experimenting making chicken and dumplings. It was so yummy! Like a chicken noodle soup. and it was very therapeutic to just go in the kitchen and cook. Especially after a long hard day at work. Whoever decided to have 8 hour days of working is insane. Maybe its just my job. I love it and I hate it. I can do all the homework I want because all I am doing is monotonous repetitive work. But it is repetitive, monotonous work and it wears me out a ton.
So I love it and I hate it. I'll keep it around though. I really like being able to do all my reading homework during work.

So after experimenting with making Chicken and Dumplings, Adam set me down for a nap. We watched Treasure Planet and I remember the first 2 minutes of it before I crashed. I awoke to some chocolate chips and Adam decided to do a workout on our Bosu ball. He didn't know it was a tough workout. I'm telling you, if you want a great workout for your core and legs, use a bosu. It magnifies your workout by double. So good. So good.

and No, that is not me. Just one of the many things you can do with a bosu. I highly recommend one!

We are now ending the day a little lazily watching Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and playing a little Warcraft. Good finish to a long day.

Finally!

So as most people would probably say... It's about time! Hop onto the bandwagon and start your family's blog! But hey, I figure it's a good way to keep in touch with everyone. Especially since my family decided that they wanted to get up and move to India this summer. Crazy people!

So Adam and I have been married for 4 months now. It's really weird to think that's a third of a year. It has seemed a lot shorter than that, but longer at the same time. It's lots of fun though!

Lets see if I can sum up the last four months really quickly...

We went on our honeymoon to California! Right back to the roots of where Adam proposed! If you don't know that story, Adam flew me to Disneyland and proposed in front of the castle at midnight. Ahhh the hopeless romantic I married.

Disneyland... It was really crazy. Don't ever go at Christmas if you can manage it. There were people everywhere. And then there was the music... Even after Christmas, they still played Christmas music and it started getting really old very quickly. But it was still so fun! Our favorite was probably when we went to California Adventures. We had so much fun just looking around and taking pictures! Then we went to toon town, and somehow got stuck in this ridiculously long line waiting to see Mickey. So we took a picture!

One of the days that we were there, we got to go to a Pirate Dinner Adventure! It was super cool! We bought hats and we got dinner and drinks and watched a pirate show. I LOVED IT. Funny story with that... Adam and I tried to take the bus to the pirate show, but it took us to a different city (about 3 miles away from where we were supposed to be) So what did we do? Of course, we ran there! It only took us 30 minutes... but we arrived very red faced and barely made it in time! Still so so fun!!

Then we came home and got to school... Things happened... like I made dinner! And then our sink broke one time and I had to do the dishes in the tub. That was fun. Not. But that's ok, at least now I have the experience.

Adam is so creative! He always comes up with the best dates :)
One of the dates we went on, we went to the DI and got cowboy/cowgirl clothes, dressed up and went to the Outback Steakhouse for dinner! So fun! We got lots of weird looks. I think they just thought it was weird that we were dressed up like hicks at an Australian grill place. Oh well!

Then there is always Adam and I working out... and Adam making me a coconut smoothie! Opening coconuts are hard! We ended up using a hammer... make sure you get a ripe one!

I love my life. I love being married to Adam! He makes me so happy! We have had lots of good times in the last four months. And more fun times will come! lately our fun times have included but have not been limited to:
Old Disney movies (fox and the hound, Pinocchio, etc)
Starting Spring semester
more P90X
Learning how to play Halo (for me)
Super Nintendo games
Lots and lots of yummy experimental recipes--Wheat banana bread is delicious!
