Don't forget!

This season, everyone should take the time to Elf Yourself!
http://www.elfyourself.com/
It definitely brings a laugh! We loved doing it for the nieces and nephews :)

Christmas time is here!

I think... THINK... FINALLY we are done buying things. I think that we must be amazon's number 1 customer. We've gotten about 20 packages from them in the past 12 days he he he.
but thank goodness its over. i love christmas, but I really get sick of shopping (gasp! Women never get sick of shopping!)
Well I figure I should put a couple more days down.
Day 16
A song that makes you cry-
Well... there are lots for me. If its really meaningful and it comes at the right moment, it will make me cry. The last song that made me cry was actually played in the biggest loser. I can't remember what it was though. ha ha so we'll just skip this one.
Day 17- 10 songs that you would find on shuffle on your ipod.
Well, you'd probably find some
we shot the moon
30 seconds to mars
lady ga ga (im sorry i hear it all the time at the gym, its addictive)

I dont know, upbeat stuff, cuz I'm always exercising to it. If not, you'd probably find some book on tape like harry potter.
Day 18-
Dreams and goals:
Adam wants to finish school and then get a job somewhere in computers. He wants to bulk up more and he wants to be a yoga instructor and a daddy
Jessica wants to be a mommy, a zumba teacher, a personal trainer (with an actual job... cross fingers! we'll hear from anytime fitness soon I think!), organized, and losing a couple pounds here would be nice.
Day 19- Nicknames
Jessica- Jess, Jessie, Jessica and sometimes aunt jessica
Adam gets called Adam man, Williams, and Adam and sometimes uncle adam
Day 20- Pic of your family recently:
I'll include this one in a little bit
Day 21-A recipe.
Well, we love turkey burgers. So here's our recipe (that we stole from the P90X diet book)
8 oz raw turkey
1 t Worcestershire sauce
3 T buttermilk
3-4 T sourdough bread crumbs
1 T dijon mustard
2 T chopped green onions

Mix all together, grill on griddle (or our outside grill. love it) for 8-10 min each side (or until done) add cheese if desired. Dress and place on a bun or lettuce! enjoy!
Day 22- Story behind our blogs name
Well, there is no story actually. I was just looking for a good blog, and I couldn't think of what to call it, and its the first thing that came to mind. Sorry.

So, now I'll tell some stories.
It snowed a couple days ago (cursed rain, it melted it all)
and Adam and I thought it would be fun to go play in it. We had, of course, just finished all our finals and needed a way to celebrate. So we hit the DI, got all our snow gear, and then went to the park close to our house. We made a snowman... or something like that. It started out as a normal snowman, but it turns out we can't make anything normal so our snowman ended up getting a long neck (a wooden post we found nearby) and then a tiny head. It got crazy hair from sticks that were nearby, and eyes from dandelions, and a leaf for a brain, and a stick for a mouth. We named here Amelia the Christmas Witch. Observe.
So thats what you get when you get adam and I together and tell us to make a snowman. Oh she also has a blue bow, and arms made from those electrical fence flags.

We are both very excited for this week! It our anniversary this wednesday and then christmas too! I can't believe its already been a year. It went by so fast. We are loving it all the time :) I couldn't have asked for a better husband!

Merry Christmas everyone!

I know I know, its not so exciting. i haven't been too many places in my life.

Day 15: Things you would find in your backpack/purse.

Adam:  Computer, Clif Bar, pencils, other sweet technology things.
Jessica: Hair ties, gym pass, notebook to doodle and plan out my day on, and probably some gym clothes (if you look in my backpack, not my purse)

Last week of classes

So this is the last week of classes. I must admit that I am excited to get out of this semester and into the break! Its almost our one year anniversary! Just a couple more weeks!
Adam is finally done with his InTex week. Let me tell you, I thought it would never end. Every day, I came home to adam and his group studying and working meticulously on their project. I think they spent on average about 10 hours a day doing homework. I am glad that its over and I have my husband back!
This week, not much is going on at the moment. I did really enjoy my stress management class today. We were talking about self-hypnosis and autogenics. We then laid down to practice autogenics. All i remember was my teacher saying something about closing our eyes, relaxing and imagining our arms were heavy. Next thing, it was fifteen minutes later and my teacher was telling us to get up. Best day ever.
I really should catch up on the days i've missed. So here are some.
Day 6: A picture of you and your friends:

Day 7: A Photo that makes you happy
Day 8: A photo that makes you sad

(doesn't really make us sad, in fact it made us laugh. But oh well :) )

Day 9: A Photo You Took:
Adam is getting attacked by a wild pig

Day 10:
Ok so I don't really have a picture from over ten years ago. But I do have one from last year...

Day 11: A Photo of you taken recently:

This was us before the haunted house on 13th! So fun :)

Well thats all i'll post for now. Its zumba time! I must get to the gym!

Oh Christmas Tree...

Today we bought our christmas tree! Wow was it crazy or what. I'll tell you about it.

First we have that GIANT bean bag in our living room that made it impossible to put the tree in the living room with it. So we rolled that bean bag through the small hallway, SQUEEZED it into the exercise room and voila! it fits!
We went to the Home Depot and we found the perfect little tree! its like 5 feet tall and we have named him Spruce Willis (cuz he's kind of bald on the top)
We squished it into our car  (we had to drive home with one of the windows down) and then brought it into our living room and after going to the DI we got a lovely little tree skirt and stand for it. Then we went to Honks and bought some cute dollar store ornaments for it! now all we need is christmas lights and we'll be all set to go!

Here are some cute pics of our first ever christmas tree!

Day 5

Are we really on day five already? Oh goodness. I guess we're up to favorite quotes. This one was really hard because adam and I quote things all the time. I think our favorite probably is from So I Married an Axe Murderer. It says...

Stuart Mackenzie: Well, it's a well known fact, Sonny Jim, that there's a secret society of the five wealthiest people in the world, known as the Pentavirate, who run everything in the world, including the newspapers, and meet tri-annually at a secret country mansion in Colorado, known as The Meadows.
Tony Giardino: So who's in this Pentavirate?
Stuart Mackenzie: The Queen, the Vatican, the Gettys, the Rothschilds, and Colonel Sanders before he went tets-up. Oh, I hated the Colonel with is wee beady eyes! And that smug look on his face, "Oh, you're gonna buy my chicken! Ohhhhh!"

So good. SO good.

Oh the weather outside is frightful!

Guess what! We woke up this morning to a nice blanket of snow! We are so excited for the holidays. Bring on the turkey!

Day 4

Time for favorite books!

We both obviously love the Book of Mormon. But there are other books that I love.
Harry Potter for one. I love all the harry potter books!
Other fun fantasy books like that are also some of my favorites.

However my favorite favorite book is The Alchemist by Paolo Cohelo! So so so good. If you haven't read it, I highly suggest it!

Saturday, November 20, 2010

Day 3

Jessica's favorite TV show is the Biggest Loser. hands down.

Adam loves Firefly and 24!

Day two!

Favorite Movies:

We have lots of favorite movies! Its hard to pick a favorite... but if we had to pick one of our favorites we would have to say... probably

Batman Begins!

So facts it is!
1. Adam and I met on a blind date
2. Adam loves salty things and I love sweet things
3. Adam proposed in front of the Disneyland Castle at midnight!
4. We are both the second youngest child in our families
5. I am a certified personal trainer

8. Adam and I love to do P90X together
9. I have a stuffed monkey collection and all of the monkeys are named George in some language or another
10. My parents are currently living in India

It was hard enough thinking of ten so I'm going to stop there :)

It's been a while....

It's been a really long time. I guess I am really bad at this. BUT I figured I would be. So live and learn and hopefully this time I'll get better huh?

Adam has been super busy with school. I swear its like I don't have any homework at all and Adam doesn't have a single night when he isn't doing three hours of homework. So generally, we both walk home, he starts homework and I go to the gym... for several hours... and then come home and he's still doing homework. So i cook dinner. And then watch an episode of the Biggest Loser... and he's STILL doing homework! Sheesh! I am in my second to last semester and am stressing when I have like a three page paper to write and here's adam writing a thirty (yes, I said 30) page paper. Woe is me, right? I can't complain around him. But then again, what do i have to complain about?

We signed up for classes! That was a lot more exciting for me than it was for adam. He's just taking his envelope for his second semester of I-Sys. Me? I'm taking functional anatomy, obesity and weight management, living prophets, sports nutrition, substance abuse and addictive behavior and floral design (which I am SO excited for!!). 17 credits and then i am graduating!!!

Recents: I applied for a job at 24 hour fitness as a trainer. No news yet. but hopefully they'll let me know soon! if not, then I am looking into another one :)

I am in stress management and can I tell you that trying those relaxation techniques can be really awkward?? your hand is heavy and warm. You feel your muscles relax... all i feel is a little strange and silly lying on my bed listening to you say these things. If I didn't have to try out six different ones, I would just stick with yoga because I know that relaxes me. I'll tell you. Nothing is better than after an hour of yoga at the gym and then the last thing they do is the corpse pose and you lay there listening to soft music with your eyes closed... mmm... I am sleepy.

It's getting colder! But it hasn't snowed yet. I am actually kind of looking forward to the snow. And don't tell adam, but I did happen to turn on 100.3 the christmas station and listen to it when I was driving to the grocery store on monday. He would say its a sin cuz its not after thanksgiving yet. But I think since Thanksgiving is a week from TOMORROW.... that i can start listening to christmas music! Whoohoo here comes the holidays!

Props to my wonderful husband. He has spent so much time fixing up my computer for me!!! I have no idea what anything means and when things are problematic and what not... but he sure knows what to do! and out of the love of his heart he spent so much time on the phone with Dell and Microsoft and lo and behold! My laptop is alive again! If i was single, i probably would have been dumb and spent lots of money having other people fix it cuz I don't know what is wrong. But Adam did it all himself and we didn't have to spend a dime! YAY!

Guess its time for me to sign off for now. I promise promise promise I wont go this long without blogging again.

ta ta for now!

Back to School!

So another semester starts.

Thankfully, its my second to last semester! Unfortunately, its Adam's first semester of his junior core. Here's how my first day of school went. Hey class, we're all here to learn about health. So I want you to read all these pages before the midterm. But you have all that time. So don't stress. Oh, and by the way, we're going to learn about working out and we will probably work out a lot during class.

Here's how Adam's first day went. Hey guys. Lets get to business. I want you to get into groups of 4 and I want you to do this project that you would normally be doing AFTER all these classes for the FINAL. Good luck. It will probably take you about 60 hours.

Difference? Yes.

I am taking classes like... Exercise and Wellness certification prep, Persuasive Writing, Stress Management, Personal Training and Chronic Disease Prevention.

Adam is taking classes like... Accounting, Programming and other businessing stuff. A lot harder.

That's when I'm glad I am in the major I'm in.

On another note, I love being married to Adam. He is lovely.

Mornings and Afternoons

So this morning I woke up to the sound of our fan cutting out. Yep, that's right, the power went out at around 5 in the morning. Then it came back on again and I was excited! But nope, it cut out AGAIN. So I woke up and took a very quick shower by the natural light of the morning sun. And then I had to light a candle in the kitchen to give more light as I did the dishes in the lukewarm water. I was trying to decide what to eat for breakfast but I realized very quickly that the only thing we had to eat for breakfast that didn't require heating, mixing, cooking, toasting or any other form of cooking was oatmeal in milk. So that's what I had for breakfast. fun fun fun
But what is fun was what appeared on our porch right after I got home from work.
My bodybugg came! Adam bought me a back to school gift. I am charging it right now! I am so excited to log my food calculate the calories burned all day! I'll have to keep you updated on how it works.

Well I am so excited for this afternoon! Happy wednesday afternoon :)

A moment to be grateful for

So I've done it! I officially passed my Personal Training Exam and I am certified. So I went to Golds Gym and asked to intern there. I was accepted no questions asked. How amazing is that? I love going to the gym and shadowing the trainers. I learn so much watching how they modify different workout routines for people. Its really cool.
Adam and I were fortunate to find some old textbooks lying around and we have recently learned that we can ship in our old books for money. Some old chemistry books, physiology books and a couple other random ones earned us $200. 200! And then, as a back to school gift, adam bought me a body bugg! I am so excited to use it. It calculates all the calories I burn every day and it calculates the amount of sleep I got and everything!
We had some lovely neighbors move in this past week! We are so excited to live next to family :) We will have lots of opportunities to spend time with them and we can't wait. we have already enjoyed several encounters with them already!
Finally, Adam and I were blessed today to find out that we both got grants for school! That is such a wonderful blessing. We have all our tuition paid for and Adam even got an extra $2,000 for his exceptionally good grades!
I just wanted to say that we are so grateful for all the blessings we have received here as of late. We love our lives!

A happy weekend!

Hello sunday!
This weekend has been amazing! It's been full of stress, talking, fun, cuddling, hard times and good times.Friday, we had quite the adventure! We set out on a mystery date (meaning, i had no idea where we were going, but Adam had a plan) And where should we turn up? The aquarium of course!
I didn't know until afterwards that Adam had never been to an aquarium before. I guess living in Seattle, where there is an aquarium so close, and my mom took me all the time when we were little, I just assumed that everyone had been to an aquarium at least ONCE. But I was surprised! It was really cool though. We got to walk around and see the animals native to utah (like all the different kinds of frogs, and did you know that bullfrogs are HUGE???) and then we got to go through this discover africa or something section. We saw a small crocodile, an electric eel, piranhas, and an anaconda! Did you know that Anacondas never stop growing? And, when Roosevelt was president, he put a $10,000 reward to anyone who could find an anaconda larger than 30 feet? Its raised now! Apparently, you'd get $50,000 if you could find an anaconda larger than 30 feet. Well you see, I spotted the flaw in this program. It's not finding the anaconda. It would be bringing the anaconda in. I don't know about you... but trying to capture a snake longer than 30 feet that could kill you... doesnt sound too fun or easy to me.Oh! there was this petting zoo part and we got to touch sting rays! It was really cool, except for the fact that I was afraid that I was going to get stung. They felt really strange too.

After our adventure at the aquarium, we went to the cheesecake factory! We got seated outside only to barely get our food, have rain start POURING down on us, get shoved back inside in some random corner of the restaurant and watch the rain, wind and lightning right where we were sitting just a couple minutes before. Crazy. But the food there is still good.

Saturday morning I got up really early and went to North Orem to take my NASM Personal Training Certification test. It was crazy hard! I was so nervous to take the test, my heart felt like it was pounding out of my chest, and I thought that I was going to be sick. But luckily, I wasn't sick, and I passed my test! I am now a certified personal trainer :)
After that, I came home, and Adam and I made some Cinnamon bun popcorn and a bean dip for my sister-in-laws birthday party. We had my family come over, we watched the movie Up! and we made our own bottle cap pins and filled out our own adventure book. It was very clever and quite fun :) Thanks to Jameson for the planning! And happy birthday Becky! (on Monday)

Well church will be starting very soon, and I am playing the piano in relief society so I should probably get dressed now...

Busy busy busy

So its been a while. I know it has. but its been a busy month!

Lets see...whats happened?

Well, I turned 21 for one thing! it was an exciting day. this is how i spent my 21 birthday. First- I woke up and went to work. After work, I went to the doctor to get my neck checked out because I injured my neck really bad the day before. Then after the doctor, Adam and I went to the dentist to get our teeth cleaned. And we got quite a shock with the bill--Hello!??! x-rays were 170! for one of us! Luckily, no cavities, so we didnt have to return. Memo to me--just keep the teeth clean and dont visit the dentist unless you have to. Oh and do you know how uncomfortable it is to have your teeth cleaned with a hurt neck? Not fun!
After the dentist, we met up with my family who was in town and went to the texas roadhouse for dinner. It was so much fun! They made me sit on this saddle as they sang to me. It was kind of awkward. but I liked it anyway :) We went to our apartment afterwards and had a watermelon and an ice cream cake for dessert. I got some really fun books from my parents, and a really cool tv series called Life from my siblings! I'm so excited! Planet Earth is so cool, so I'm really excited to watch these.
That weekend, we went to bountiful for my other birthday party! It was so fun. We had a luau/beach themed party. Plenty of pulled chicken, and meatballs, and other yummy foods was made. Then, mommy williams made me a really cool parfait for my "cake" it was so good!

lets see... what else happened?
Oh! Adam got accepted into his I Sys program at BYU! We are both so excited! Its really hard to get into the program--like a 30% acceptance rate. So we're both really excited for that!

My parents are finally off to India. Which is really exciting for them! Not so exciting for us though, when we went to walmart for like ten seconds, came out and the car was dead. We had no idea what was wrong... and since it was my dad's car before I thought... well if only i could call them! But you see, it was like 2 pm utah time, which means its like 1:30 AM india time. Not cool.

Its been pretty stormy at nights lately. I turned to Adam one lightning filled evening, and I asked "Adam, can you have a lightening storm during the day?"
to which he replied "yes... but its really rare... but yes... but its really rare"
And he made fun of me. I mean, how often do you see thunderstorms during the day?
But guess what???
Just yesterday, it happened. I saw a thunderstorm during the day! it was awesome! Half the sky was dark and grey and the other half was blue. and lightning struck through the dark side into the light side. I thought it was so cool. and so awesome that it happened right after our conversation. Maybe its not so rare.

I take my NASM personal training test this saturday! As in... 2 days from now. I'm kind of really nervous for it, but I am so excited at the same time. It will be awesome. Hopefully I pass! If i do, i have an internship lined up with golds gym for after.... hopefully it all works out.

And thats just some of whats happened lately. The rest has been filled with, but not exclusive to...
homemade french bread
more birthday parties
playing with nieces and nephews
invader zim
netflix on demand movies
internet problems, and then fixing them
chocolate peanut butter bars
zumba, pilates and yoga
lots and lots of strawberries
and homemade crafts!

California and Family Reunions

This past week has been really busy! Lots of things happened.

Monday night, we flew out to go to California for a family reunion! It was lots of fun. we went to Disneyland! So monday night, after flying in really late, my family all went to Cold stone for some ice cream. Man, do they have AMAZING smoothies. I got the banana and raspberry smoothie... you should try it sometime. Adam got some ice cream flavor with the pie crust in it. I cant remember. but it was good too. All of cold stone is good. Oh, he just reminded me it was peach ice cream. Yum! Peaches!
After a late night, we woke up really early so that we could be to Disneyland by 8. But of course, it got delayed and we all went to eat the continental breakfast. So, there's something about continental breakfasts... they're like buffets. Some of them are good and some of them are bad. If it looks risky, you're better sticking with the fruity pebbles. Should have stuck to the fruty pebbles for ours... I tried the buiscuts and gravy...
bad mistake.
Oh well, you live and learn.
We got to disneyland and we had some competitions! Tuesday and wednesday, we had to make sure we got our fortune told at Esmerelda, try to get as many pictures of the characters as possible, get the highest score in buzz lightyear and the toy story rides, and find these random pictures. Let me tell you these pictures were hard! they were like of random corners of posters, the walls in the Indiana jones ride, and some other obscure things. It took a lot of the trip trying to find the pictures. and we still lost. ha ha.
we rode lots of rides! Space mountain, Splash mountain (that was the best, we finally got all of the kids on one--yes Jameson too-- and most of us got soaked. Adam and I were safe in the back, and we enjoyed it like normal), thunder mountain, indiana jones ride, peter pan, california screamin, tower of terror and more. and they are all as fun as they usually are! but i think after lagoon, we are rollercoaster-ed out for awhile.
Tuesday, during some down time, adam took me to Build-a-Bear and I got to make my very own stuffed monkey! She is ADORABLE. her name is Georgie and she has a jean skirt, a pink backpack, the cutest underwear, and a pink bow. She makes monkey noises when you squeeze her arm and when you hug her real tight, her heart beats. Adam thinks the beating heart is creepy, but I like it. I love her!
Wednesday was the awards night. We didn't win anything... but thats ok. During the award session (at a buffet, mind you. Remember what I said about buffets? Yeah, it was the nasty kind) we were in an earthquake! all of us thought the nasua we were feeling was from the food until someone mentioned we were in an earthquake. Then we could see the ground and lights moving. It was a weird feeling. Apparently the earthquake was in Palm Springs (a 5.4 earthquake) and we felt it 150 miles away. Crazy!

The new hat for the season is the mad hatter from the new alice and wonderland. I think its really really creepy...

You can take some weird pictures while waiting for some of the rides.
we LOVE space mountain!
Family pic in front of Mickey--Classic.

Thursday, our feet were all swollen and we were really tired and didnt want to move. So we stayed inside for a while in the morning. After a nice long nap, my family went to Huntington beach and played in the water! It was ICE COLD, but it was so fun! Salty. I forget the water tastes salty. I'm not used to playing in the ocean. Usually its been pools or lakes.
After playing in the ocean for a while, we came home, got ready and went to the Pirate Adventure dinner! It was so fun! We were in the orange group. Our pirate was the meanest (or so they said. He was kind of skinny) We laughed, sang drinking songs, ate more cafeteria-style and quality food, and were all highly entertained by pirates. It was great!
Here's a video of us playing in the ocean!

Friday morning, we flew home really early in the morning, and then we got our car all nice, drove up to salt lake and sold the car! then we spend the evening in Bountiful talking with family and we drove home in a huge thunder storm. I love thunderstorms. they are so cool!

Well we had quite an exciting week. I'm glad that it will be toning down a little bit. Its been fun, but it's nice to have some downtime again :)

Happy Freedom Day USA!

Happy fourth of July!

Today has been a wonderful day! I got to go to church today and then I came home and took a nice long nap. I've been feeling really sick lately, this weird medication I was on made me really nauseous. But today, I just had a headache. No biggie, I get them all the time. Oh yeah, and we've been listening to Real Men of Genius budlight commercials and watching fantasia.

Yesterday, Adam and I were having a bummer morning so we decided to go to lagoon. Wow! Talk about fun! We rode lots of roller coasters, got to go to Lagoon-a-Beach and ride water slides, walk through Pioneer Village and we even ate some corn on the cob!

It was kind of funny, when we were walking through Pioneer Village, we saw lots of carts like this, and I told Adam to get up on one so I could take a picture. Only after that, did we walk around the corner and saw it said please do not climb on the carts. Well you should have told me that before we got on! ha ha

Friday, we took a trip up to Bountiful really early in the morning. We are trying to sell our car to buy my parents car, and this girl was going to buy it from us. And then a bunch of things went wrong, and it could have been a scam... so we stopped trying for her and just put the car back up. we've gotten more calls so hopefully it sells soon!

While we were up in Bountiful, we went to Adam's house and spent the day with his family. It was so fun seeing the nieces and nephews. I had lots of fun talking with family, and we brought sparklers and pop its... I have never seen those kids so crazy! They were running around in circles. (They had never used sparklers before so it was really exciting to them)
We watched fireworks and lots of kid movies and ate yummy chicken and lots and lots of cherries. It was a lot of fun! talk about my kind of celebration!

Tomorrow, we fly out to California for my family's reunion/celebration/Disneyland fun! We are both so excited! It will be tons of fun spending time with my family! And hopefully we go to the beach and the pirate adventure! Next post will be all about the reunion. But for now, I must get ready!

School's out for the summer!

Well guess what??

It's OVER! School is out! I take my last final tomorrow morning and Adam takes his last two and then after we get done, we are done for the summer! It's so exciting... We both need a break.

Father's day is this sunday! And isn't that a wonderful day to celebrate?? I love my daddy, and adam's daddy is wonderful too. Take a moment to say hello to your dads on Sunday!

And other than finals, lots of studying, and lots of playing the addictive app for the ipod touch/iphone Angry Birds, this past week has been filled with lots of Lord of the Rings, massages, working out, and lots of love. I can't wait to talk about our adventures to be soon!

Birthdays and Holidays

Well this last weekend has been tons of fun! Jameson turned 23 on Saturday! We celebrated by going to Tucanos for lunch and eating our faces silly. I actually adventured out to the salad bar and spent a lot of time there getting lots of salad and fruit. Have you ever tried the fried bananas there? Little bit of heaven right in your mouth. Let me tell you.
Well afterwards, we went over to Jameson and Becky's house and played some scum, and then we cracked out the 64 and played battle tanks and golden eye. Mind you, I sucked hard core at golden eye--I think I was actually voted the most likely to die all the time award... ahem... moving on. And then Brenton, Adam and I surprised Jameson with our gift of Super Mario Galaxy 2! Apparently on some gaming website it got a perfect ten! Not many games get that, mind you, so its supposed to be awesome. Jameson likes it and thats all that really matters, right?

Sunday, Adam and I just chilled at home. Remind me never to stick around at church on the last day of the month. EVERYONE had to get last minute home teaching in. of course. So we spent most of right after church doing home teaching, visiting teaching or vice versa--having them come to us. And then, we just watched a lot of Planet Earth and enjoyed learning about this wonderful world God has given us. It truely is phenominal!

Monday was Memorial Day! and it was so fun! I got my hair cut! its really short now... like a bob cut. I'll have to post pictures next time. Adam and I went up to Bountiful to spend the day with his family. It was so much fun, All the nieces and nephews came over, and adam BBQ'd for everyone, and we spent lots of time playing with the hose, squishing gazillions of ants, coloring with sidewalk chalk, or just talking. I love spending time with family. I always get a kick out of the kids-they have the most creative minds and can tell the funniest stories!

So all in all, it was a great weekend. I was sad it had to end! But I guess, all good things have to end so some better things can come, right?

You've got mail...

Don't you just love classic movies like You've Got Mail?
It's a classic. You've gotta just love it! I love the part about how they meet but they don't and you can just see it before it comes. Sometimes predictability is so fun.

Last weekend was a lot of fun. Adam and I have the blessing of living so close to family and Saturday I spent the day with my sister-in-law. We got to workout and then we made muddy buddies and ate them while watching The Great Mouse Detective. I had such a good time that we invited the rest of the family over for a BBQ. Once again, Adam did an amazing job with the chicken. So good, that I decided to make kabobs for dinner tonight! Well, we watched a little bit of Brian Regan while dinner was being finished and then we watched the Princess and the Frog. I love Disney movies... Can I just say that? They are so cute. And I love the Princess and the Frog. The friend is so funny... "tell him big daddy! TELLL HIMMMMM!" It's so great.

Well Sunday was very relaxing. We recently acquired a gi-normous love sac from Adam's brother (we're holding onto it for him for a while) and I took a nap in it on sunday. It was so nice. Everyone should have love sacs so that they can take sunday afternoon naps in them.

Well it's monday again. Time for the week to start. Adam has two midterms, I have a midterm and a presentation... basically, its super busy for the two of us. Oh, and it snowed today. In the middle of May. But the sun came through in the end... just hope it stays. But we are excited for the Memorial Weekend! Whoo hoo! Here comes the sun (I hope).

When you fall in love, it's like falling in love, it's like barbecue!

So the past week was lots of fun. Still haven't heard from the internship... Guess he doesn't want me. But that sort of stuff happens all the time.. right? (I really wouldn't know, I've only applied to one!)
Last Saturday, we went up to Bountiful to spend the afternoon with Adam's family and his sister came along and brought her kids! I always love hanging out with my nieces and nephews. We watched movies, ate lots of mexican food, and had lots of fun playing like kids :) Some pictures from the event...

Little Brayden was so funny! He kept making up these jokes that made no sense, like how did the ball get to school? It went through the pipe! But then he said this one that made sense and we busted up laughing. He said...
"How did the toot get to school? The wind blew it there!"
little kids. So great.

We celebrated Cinco de Mayo this past week! To celebrate, we made fried ice cream, enchiladas, homemade guacamole... and ate lots of chips! It was lots of fun! We also watched Nacho Libre to get us in the Mexican mood. I love that movie. Nothing like Jack Black with a really bad spanish accent to get us in the mood for mexican food.
"Do you remember that one time, when everyone was cheering my name, and I used my strength to rip my blouse?"
"yeah and then I saw you get knocked out, alright?"
It was a great cinco de mayo.

Oh! and then for our date night, we used our money to go to target and we bought (dun dun da duh!) a charcoal grill! It's like Adam's new favorite toy. And we had the most delicious barbecue friday night (and today). Friday we had hamburgers and hot dogs, with barbecue chips, macaroni salad, and corn on the cob. It was delicious! Adam has been wanting a grill for forever; you should have seen him putting it together. He was so excited :) And then, to celebrate the occasion again, we barbecued chicken today! Man, if you want delicious chicken, marinade it in some Carribean Jerk marinade and then grill it. Mouthwatering. So good!

We have been loving it this last week. It has been filled with so much fun including...
Avatar
putting off doing homework
going on walks
watching a couple more movies
playing lots and lots of games

Having ourselves an oriental time!

Yesterday was date night and like I said earlier, Adam is one creative fellow :)

He decided to go all out and have an oriental themed date! He picked me up from work and I wasn't feeling to well so he brought me my favorite candy bar! Hershey's Cookies and Cream! Soooo good. love it!
Then we went shopping for ingredients for our Chinese dinner. I was so tired when we got home that Adam set up a little bed for me on the couch and we watched Spirited Away (but I really took a nap)
Then it was time for the fun to begin!
We got all dressed up like ninjas. Well kind of. And we did a Kenpo Karate workout! It was so fun! kicking and punching and pretending we were stealthy. We had tons of fun and burned lots of calories :) which is good because I don't think our dinner was super low in calories, even if it was a salad.

After our work out, we decided that we were pretty hungry. It was so fun watching Adam in the kitchen! He is quite the chef! And, he did an amazing job and organizing and cooking and having lots of fun creating a masterpiece! We made a Chinese Salad, which was SO GOOD. Chicken and fried noodles and almonds and sesame seeds, with lots of lettuce, green onions and a little cilantro. I loved helping him in the kitchen!

After our DELICIOUS dinner we played some oriental games (aka chinese checkers) and ate some Pocky (strawberry dipped of course) Yum! I had so much fun on our date! Adam is so wonderful :) he even surprised me with flowers the other day. They smell SO good!

On another completely random note, I applied for an internship yesterday! It was for a personal trainer at a gym called Anytime Fitness! I am so excited! I really really want to get the internship (its paid too which is nice). I emailed him yesterday and I have been checking my email like MAD. Its like waiting for Christmas morning to come when you're a kid and its only 9 pm at night on Christmas Eve... so painful almost. Hopefully he's emailed me now... I better go check.
